Chief Happiness Officer

You guys might be thinking why I titled this blog as Chief Happiness Officer but being a digital marketer/content creator and working with a firm where I regularly deal with the Chief marketing officer, chief information officer and chief financial officer from the last 4 month, I couldn’t stop myself from titled this blog as chief happiness officer and the main reason is I want you guys to become chief happiness officer in your life and I would love if only 1% of my readers will become one.

Hello and Welcome to stories, facts and dreams.

Some time ago I was sitting on my terrace looking at the sky and thinking what happiness really means to me?

I don’t get the answer then but on the other day, I saw a post on Facebook, it’s probably only 30% true and written by a 16-year-old boy but regardless, I found it wrong, and at the very least, thought-provoking.

[Facebook Post]:

"HAPPINESS is having that one person in our life".

[Thoughts in my mind]:

What if this one person leaves you?

What if this person belongs to someone else?

What if someone doesn’t have this person?

Is having someone by your side is the only happiness nowadays?

“No, my answer is something different,” - I commented on the post

Today I ask you what happiness means to you?

So how do you respond to this question? No one could answer this without thinking for while.

Do you guys want to know what my answer was?

I commented, “Happiness is freedom, Happiness is letting go of your worries”. Yes! You read it right "letting go of your worries”

I know the meaning of happiness varies from person to person. What makes one person happy won’t make another person feel the same. It’s even something that changes over time. If I asked you and your friend what happiness means to you, the two answers would be wildly different. There is no universally agreed-upon definition of happiness and that’s the reason, I don’t want this blog to become a guide or advice clinic. Rather, this is just me, having been inspired by a wonderful lecture on life and happiness, trying to work out what I think being happy means to me.

The reason I commented “Happiness is freedom, Happiness is letting go of your worries because, Once u started expressing yourself, once you find freedom for yourself, once you started feeling free. You find peace and for me, that’s the happiness and I think everyone would agree on this point.

If you want to switch your job, feel free and switch

If you want to change your lifestyle, feel free and change

If you want to leave the relationship, feel free and express

If you want to confess, feel free and confess

If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down.

Don’t burden yourself with the things you are not happy about. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and you will be happy.

In my experience, the people who struggle with the so-called “life purpose” question, always complain that they don’t know what to do. But the real problem is not that they don’t know what to do. It’s that they don’t know what to give up.

Feel free. Fly happily

Manage your FOMO (Fear of missing out).

When u move beyond your fear, you feel free.

Happiness is freedom.

How to decide what happiness is for you?

As I said in the intro part, Happiness may be different from person to person but I think some key signs that assessing happiness is-

Feeling like you are living the life you wanted.

Feeling like something is giving you peace inside out.

Feeling that balance your emotional state.

Feeling when u feel satisfied with yourself.

Your happiness is not in anyone’s hand, feel free to express it.

Remember!

As  stars belong to the sky,

Happiness belongs to you.

Aahhh happiness! It sounds so simple, doesn’t it?
